Section 76 – Visiting and examination of patients

Introduction

This section permits a doctor, or approved clinician, to examine a patient in private and require the production of medical records, for the purpose of advising whether an application to the tribunal should be made in respect of a patient. This also applies to restricted patients (section 41).
