Section 29 – Welfare arrangements for blind, deaf, dumb and crippled persons, etc

Introduction

This section contained local authorities’ main powers to provide non-residential care services for adults. It has now ceased to apply in both England and Wales, with the implementation of the Care Act 2014 and the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014, respectively.
