Daniel Baker

Dan Baker is an experienced social worker and best interests assessor having worked in various adult social care fields at practitioner and team management levels. In his current role of Mental Capacity Act 2005 lead officer, for Central Bedfordshire Council, he is responsible for providing practice guidance to adult social care practitioners and management as well as overseeing the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards. Dan describes his experience in responding to complex adult safeguarding situations – including Court of Protection and High Court applications – as enabling him to bring practice experience to his publications, articles and training material.
