Danielle is professor of social work at Queen's University Belfast (QUB). She is a registered social worker and has taught on and managed qualifying and post-qualifying level social work programmes; she currently convenes the post-qualifying masters in social work with children, young people and families at QUB.
Danielle’s research focuses on three broad areas: child welfare and protection, with particular reference to child neglect; relationship-based practice; and critical thinking and professional judgment in social work assessment and decision making.
Most recently, she has been working with Beth Tarleton at the University of Bristol, exploring issues around support for parents with learning difficulties where there are concerns about child neglect.
