Denise Tanner

Denise Tanner is senior lecturer in social work at Birmingham University. Her areas of teaching and research interest include community care policy and practice; social work with older people; social work skills; social perspectives of mental distress; and service user involvement in education and research.

She is the programme director for Birmingham university's BA social work course and has responsibility for teaching and assessment in relation to students’ readiness for practice learning.
