Jo Moriarty

Jo Moriarty has worked as a research fellow in the Social Care Workforce Research Unit at King’s College London since 2002. She is an experienced social care researcher whose research interests span the social care workforce, social work education, family carers, dementia, voluntary organisations, and ageing and ethnicity.

As well as undertaking her own research, she has published a number of resources drawing together existing research for users and practitioners. She is currently working on a longitudinal study of recruitment and retention in the social care workforce and a study of models of safeguarding.

She recently completed a project for the National Institute for Health Research School for Social Care Research on social care practice with carers. She edits the innovative practice section of the journal Dementia.
