Liz Lloyd

Liz Lloyd is reader in social gerontology in the School for Policy Studies at the University of Bristol. She is currently the principal investigator for the UK on an international research project ‘Healthy Ageing in Residential Places’ funded through the European Research on Ageing collaboration.

Her recent project: ‘Maintaining Dignity in Later Life’ investigated older people’s perspectives on their growing need for support and care.

Liz has been a member of the social work teaching team at Bristol for 16 years and is committed to developing research-based knowledge to improve education and practice in social work and social care.
