Stephen Wey is senior lecturer on the occupational therapy programme at York St John University.
He has worked as a qualified occupational therapist for 30 years. He has extensive experience working with people who have dementia and was involved in early pilots of telecare and assistive technology and research in the area of dementia rehab and enablement.
Explores how assistive technology can potentially support people with dementia in a range of ways, including to facilitate participation in daily living activities, maintain skills and relationships, enable positive risk taking, and maintain a sense of personhood, self-esteem, confidence, and wellbeing.
