Christopher Curran

Christopher Curran is visiting fellow of the School of Health and Social Care, University of Lincoln. He is a qualified mental health nurse and social worker with long-standing professional experience in mental health. He is specialist member of the First-tier Mental Health Tribunal, a former Mental Health Act Commissioner, and former senior mental health adviser to the National Care Standards Commission and Healthcare Commission.

He has co-authored numerous articles on mental health law policy and practice in publications such as Legal Action Group Journal, Medicine, Science and the Law, OpenMind, and Psychiatric Care.
