Rachael Clawson

Rachael is assistant professor in social work at the University of Nottingham. She is a qualified social worker and worked as a local authority social worker and manager in residential and fieldwork settings with children and families for 15 years, specialising specifically in child protection and disabled children. She has also worked for the Ann Craft Trust.

She is a member of a number of organisations including the Home Office Forced Marriage Unit Partnership Board.

Another area of interest and expertise is forced marriage of children and adults with learning disabilities. She has undertaken a number of research projects on this issue, including being a co-author of the national multi-agency practice guidelines 'Forced Marriage and Learning Disabilities'.
