Welcome to the NHS England South West’s page on Community Care Inform

What is Community Care Inform?

Community Care Inform offer two websites for professionals working with Children and Families, and one for people working with Adults. Below, we have curated a range of resources from Community Care Inform –  Adults. We hope that this will support you with access to up-to-date content relating to key legislation and best practice tips, guides and ideas for anyone working in health and social care with adults. The websites can be referenced 24/7 from any device and so are useful when on the go or mobile working for daily work with patients and other service users as well as a great help when providing advice for colleagues working in challenging situations.

Who are the resources for?

Typically, our licence holders will be anyone involved in the provision of care and social care – NHS, Local authorities, multi agency teams, regulatory organisations and Higher Education Institutions for students studying in relevant professions. Care and Support, Safeguarding and violence reduction are particularly strong themes on the website and there are knowledge and practice hubs relating to these topics with guides and updates, some of which we have outlined below.

How will the resources help me, my colleagues and our service?

The website offers unique commissioned resources and so helps practitioners in:

  • Increasing evidence-based practice
  • Providing better support to all workers to assist with practice dilemmas at the point of need
  • Improving legal literacy and compliance

From a workforce development and support perspective we hope to:

  • Improve the learning offer for safeguarding leads and colleagues at all stages in their careers
  • Improve access to resources for allied professionals
  • Help you spot potential knowledge gaps to more closely target learning to your specific needs

And for our services we hope to:

  • Improve outcomes for patients and service users in the wider community

We’ve chosen resources below to give you an introduction to the website as they fit with our key service priorities – however please do see this as a start point and explore the website more fully – there’s a huge range of information in a range of learning styles which we hope will suit everybody.

I look forward to hearing your feedback as we develop this page further in the future.

Kind regards,
