In Lewisham we invest in building and enhancing a learning and development culture and are committed to your continuing professional development (CPD). We believe the Community Care Informed presents a range of resources to enhance your skills and knowledge as an Adult Social Care practitioner, and to help you develop excellent practice.  In Lewisham we are committed to empowering all staff and delivering effective services to residents that is evidence informed. Our learning and information platforms are an essential part of this process. In the Community Care Informed web pages, you will find resources on legislation, supervision, leadership, safeguarding and specialist social care practice; and also, on integral areas such as housing, policy, lived experience and so much more! We believe the resources will go some way to make you more confident in your practice and help you embed our shared values.

What is our ask?

1. Use the resource as frequently as possible and encourage others to do the same – there’s a wealth of information here but its crucial that we all tap into it.

2. Do provide feedback on the available resources, and if there are any gaps let us know so we can improve access and clarity.

3. Also, don’t forget to discuss your learning at supervision, amongst your peers and during team meetings. The greater the number of staff accessing and providing feedback, the more we can do to improve the platform and the quality of our interventions to residents.
